- Experience in a professional office setting.
- Basic math, editing, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting, budgeting, hiring, and purchasing practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Texas State policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of budgetary functions in SAP or other enterprise level software.
- Knowledge of general human resources principles and practices.
- Ability to manage workload effectively with competing deadlines and priorities.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
The Administrative Assistant III will be responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Director, Division of Student Success Business Operations and the Student Success Technology Services department. This position will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide additional support to the Office of the Vice President for Student Success.
Job Duties
Duties for this role will require organizational skills and using multiple software applications including Microsoft Office, SAP, Qualtrics, Concur, Adobe, Zoom, and Teams. This position will also require discretion with sensitive information and strong problem-solving and interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Director, Division of Student Success Business Operations and Director, Student Success Technology Services.
- Serve as general hiring manager for Operations and SSTech areas.
- Assist with human resource functions, and ensure compliance and onboarding occurs correctly.
- Monitor the Student Success Technology Services work ticket system.
- Provide general office support such as answering phone calls and general questions, time administration, arranging travel, and greeting visitors.
- Perform budget transfers.
- Track initiatives such as scholarship awards in the division.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
