Job Description

The Department of Radiation Oncology is pleased to announce the opening of a position for a Nurse Practitioner Specialty Care. We are looking for a dynamic individual to add to our growing Oncology practice. This position will work collaboratively with physicians treating oncology patients in a high-volume clinic setting.

This role will include triage of urgent established patients, obtaining and completing a focused history and physical to be able to communicate the findings to the oncology physicians as part of the multidisciplinary care team. Duties will include conducting comprehensive health assessment while demonstrating a high level of autonomy in the evaluation, management, and treatment of oncology patients, conduct routine follow ups (including post SRS patients, and some breast/lung/prostate patients), palliative patients for follow up - and assess for new symptoms, inpatient consults, patients under theragnostic treatments, and perform consent for Patients who come back for "re-consult" on the day of CT sim.

Participate in educational and training activities to trainees.

Participate in research studies and clinical trials will be a component of duties as determined by the establishment of studies and trials.

The successful candidate should be of high integrity, flexible, collaborative, self-motivated, detail oriented, efficient, and patient-centered. The candidate would report to the Division Chief or delegate while successfully consulting, communicating and build strong working relationships with the Oncology Physicians within the Department. The Radiation Oncology Physicians are committed to providing an excellent collaborative learning and work environment.

Salary

Salary Range:$90,251-$147,285 (yearly)

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing degree.

Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.

Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

For Emergency Medicine appointments: Two (2) years of experience as a nurse practitioner in an acute care area in an emergency medicine setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess a specialty certificate by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the Pediatric Certification Nursing Board (PCNB), or the National Certification Corporation (NCC). Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
