ASST/ASSO/FULL PROFESSOR, MANAGEMENT, WARRINGTON COLLEGE OF BUSINESS, UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA

POSITION: The Management Department at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business seeks to fill a tenured/tenure-track position (open-rank at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) with a research focus on strategic management. The hired individual must conduct high quality research that is published in top-tier journals; effectively teach strategic management courses; and mentor PhD students for successful placement in research-focused universities.

This position will start in August 2024. Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

BACKGROUND: The Management Department at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business is among the most productive for research according to the 2022 Texas A&M/University of Georgia Rankings of Management Department Research Productivity (https://www.tamugarankings.com/rankings/2022-2/). Among all ranked management departments, Warrington’s management department is No. 2 overall. In the rankings of publications per faculty, Warrington’s management department is ranked No. 1.

For applicants to ASSO/FULL PROFESSOR position:  

 

  • A record of high-quality teaching in MBA courses and PhD seminars.
  • Evidence of leadership and service in one's own institution and in the profession/field.
  • Experience in working with and mentoring PhD students and junior faculty.
  • Minimum requirements: Must have or anticipate receiving PhD in related fields of study before August 2024. Degrees earned from an education institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approved by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), which can be found at http://www.naces.org/. Final candidate will be required to provide official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered “official” if a designation of “Issued to Student” is visible.
