About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, full time- exempt, benefited position through 6/30/2023 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $5,633.00 to $7,176.00 per month
Location: San Bernardino and Palm Desert
Program Summary:
The CSUSB College Corps will provide 75 college students, annually, with service opportunities in critical issue areas such as climate action, K-12 education, and COVID-19 recovery. Students who complete a year of service will receive up to $10,000 while gaining valuable experience serving in their communities. CSUSB is one of 45 inaugural higher education institutions participating in this service-based college opportunity program designed to help create debt-free college pathways for low-income students who commit to serve.
Americorp VISTA will deploy 6 Fellows to engage in pre-approved capacity building service projects throughout the Inland Empire.
Work Schedule
Exempt. 40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the Primary Investigator- CSUSB California College Corp , the Director will work independently to:
Implement and oversee day-to-day operations of the project;
Ensure that the project follows procedures outlined in the approved grant proposal, and in compliance with the legislation, regulations, institutional policy and uniform guidance;
Establishes program direction. Provides leadership and oversees administration and implementation of all programs and services;
Plan, develop, monitor and manage the budget in accordance to federal, state and institutional policy;
Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates program staff and volunteers;
Supports the recruitment, training, evaluation and oversight of 75 Fellows and 6 VISTA's per year;
Recruitment, development and cultivation of community partnerships, including the identification of/and coordination with host sites;
Completes all reports in accordance with agency requirements;
Develops and update policies and procedures;
Work with the PI, district, agency and community partners to ensure that contracts are created, revised and implemented appropriately;
Ensures all project records are accurately maintained, reported and organized;
Actively participates in staff and regional consortium meetings, retreats, and professional development conferences;
Provides regular updates regarding the status of recruitment, placements, partnerships, and budget;
Travel throughout San Bernardino and Riverside Counties required;
Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of data collection and evaluations
- Experience with the America Learns and/or e-grants platforms
- Americorp or other service experience
