The Division of Cardiology, University of Washington Department of Medicine, School of Medicine and UW Heart Institute is seeking a full-time cardiologist at the Assistant Professor rank (without tenure due to funding) to join our Interventional Cardiology Service at the Harborview Medical Center. We would expect this individual to participate in our general interventional program. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

 

The successful candidate will provide clinical care in the inpatient setting focused on

 

interventional cardiology patients. The teaching activities of this position will include

 

attending on clinical service and mentoring trainees.   The anticipated start date is

 

October 1, 2023.

 

 

 

The base salary range for this position will be $16,250-$33,333 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS), and incentive through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan.

The individual must have strong interpersonal skills necessary to build referral relationships throughout King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Candidates should have a strong interest in scholarship with a demonstrated record of research and publication. Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
