Job Description

This position will coordinate recruitment activities for the College of Health Sciences – CHS (fka: School of Health Professions – SHP), primarily focused on K-12 populations. The director will supervise and direct staff working in the CHS recruitment office and the CHS Student Ambassador Leadership Team. The director will report to the Senior Associate Dean, will serve on the Dean’s Senior Administrative Leadership Team, and will work closely with the Student Services team to coordinate programming as needed (e.g., for new student orientation).

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and annually update strategic plan for recruiting activities focused on undergraduate programs in CHS.
  • Track and evaluate recruitment activities to assist with strategic planning for recruitment.
  • Meet with prospective students and families one-on-one or in small groups and provide accurate information about the school.
  • Give presentations in high school classes, with high school counselors, and to groups of prospective students visiting campus.
  • Plan recruitment trips to high schools and to select events targeting select populations.
  • Attend recruitment events hosted by the University of Missouri Office of Admissions inside and outside of Missouri.
  • Select, train and manage recruitment graduate student worker(s) and/or staff and/or student workers assisting with recruitment activities.
  • Select, train evaluate and lead the CHS Student Ambassador Leadership Team, which is comprised of approximately 30-45 student leaders.
  • Collaborate with CHS Marketing and Communications office and academic departments as needed to develop and provide consultation on recruitment assets and collateral materials.
  • Coordinate and direct summer outreach programs for select students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, in collaboration with other MU units when applicable.
  • Work with CHS staff on recruitment strategies for disadvantaged populations.
  • Job development and other duties not otherwise specified.
Salary

Salary Range: $50,367 - $91,392
Grade: GGS 010

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in student-facing positions, particularly in recruitment, preferred. Master’s degree optional.
