Advancement Program Manager

Salary:

Minimum $80,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

The Advancement Program Manager will report directly to the Chief Advancement Officer and will be responsible for designing and leading engagement strategies for the school's highest profile donor groups, connecting them with WSB programs, initiatives and people. Projects and programs could include live or virtual events, board meetings and annual reports or other customized communications. Regular duties will include understanding stakeholder interests, building premium engagement opportunities, creating and managing agendas, and partnering with colleagues to storytelling around WSB priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced program manager who loves creating memorable customer experiences to build affinity, and connecting VIP audiences with a program or organization. A successful candidate will be a creative, strategic and solutions-oriented individual with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude who seeks to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: Coordinates management of multiple related projects and/or ongoing operations, which are directed toward a common objective. Monitors the cost, schedule, and performance of component projects and operations while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program.
  • 20% Creates a program plan and structure, monitors progress and performance against the program plan, and identifies, resolves, or escalates program risks and issues
  • 10% Leads and manages efforts to determine and coordinate the sharing of resources among component projects to the overall benefit of the program
  • 10% Manages the activities of outside contractors and vendors to ensure they are integrated into the program and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
  • 15% Facilitates the estimation of program costs, resources, and time required to complete the overall program, monitors activities and budgets, directs and leads component project manager activities for consistency and alignment, and works with program leadership to ensure these targets are met. Follows established change control processes if targets can no longer be met
  • 10% Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the program within and beyond the program team, communicates program goals, risks, and status with program executive level, program sponsors, and stakeholders, and develops and uses appropriate dashboards, measures, and reporting tools
  • 15% Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet program targets and milestones. Manages the change control process and acts as the mid-level decision making authority
  • 20% Facilitates stakeholder engagement for priority advancement initiatives, to include agenda development, experience design, logistics management and communications

Qualifications:

Required:
- 5 or more years project management or related experience leading and developing initiatives

Preferred:
- Experience with customer engagement/experiences
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, work independently and follow through on deadlines, while juggling
multiple priorities
- Ability to recognize and solve problems, propose solutions and communicate decisions
- Strong communication skills, including oral/written and presentation skills
- Experience managing budgets
- Previous experience in advancement and donor engagement
- Experience leading high-profile initiatives
- Experience interacting with and presenting to senior leaders

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 75% - 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
