Position Summary:

Contributes to institutional strategic and enrollment planning, provides unit leadership and budget direction, and ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and unit strategy in support of awarding financial aid to qualifying students.

Responsibilities
  • Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes unit objectives to ensure appropriate use of resources and alignment with the strategic plan
  • Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives
  • Develops and audits the unit budget
  • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing organizational information and representing the interests of the unit
  • Advises institutional leadership and unit leadership on financial aid matters

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Direct or related experience in financial aid (such as but not limited to higher education administration, federal or state regulatory compliance, public policy development, or auditing)
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
