Job Summary

The Assistant Director Athletics, Ticketing is responsible for generating ticket sales through oversight of the Athletics Ticket Office. This position partners with the Director and stakeholders to drive sales goals and provide excellent customer service.

Job Description

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Generates ticket sale leads to increase sales and meet/exceed ticket revenue goals in partnership with Director.
  • Identifies potential customers and builds relationships by calling, attending meetings, and following up with stakeholders; sets and achieves customer contact goals in partnership with Director.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to current and potential customers by resolving issues and building relationships.
  • Identifies and attends promotional and community events to drive sales and increase fan base engagement.
  • Maintains accurate records of all prospecting activities and sales in ticketing database, tracks revenues, and runs appropriate reports.
  • Builds season, single game, and mini-plan ticket inventory and creates discounts using Paciolan ticketing system; maintains inventory and uses build to promote athletic ticket sales.
  • Oversees and executes essential game day preparations and operations for ticket office.
  • Oversees customer payment collection and reconciliation, including follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates OPS and part-time student employees. Trains and develops work schedules according to Athletic Department and customer needs.
  • Assists in updating and maintaining policies and procedures for the Athletic Ticket Office.
  • Works closely with compliance staff to ensure all ticket distributions and complimentary admissions follow federal, state, NCAA, ASUN, and university regulations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
  • Three years of full-time professional experience related to the position.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and guidelines established by professional organizations and/or governing agencies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures consistently.
  • Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situations when numerous and diverse demands are involved.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff, faculty, students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with colleagues, university faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with both internal and external constituencies.

  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Salary Range: $35,705 to $40,000
