The Opportunity:

The Marketing Communications Coordinator is a vital member of the enrollment marketing team responsible for supporting the department in its initiatives to increase prospective student interest and enrollment.

The Marketing Communications Coordinator possesses strong project management skills, a keen attention to detail and an analytical mindset. They are responsible for the planning and tracking of a variety of projects for multiple university stakeholders to keep projects on task, within scope and on time. They will serve as a liaison to various clients and vendors to ensure all parties are current on project lifecycles. This position will collaborate with our team, other teams within Enrollment Marketing and Digital Strategy, project stakeholders and vendors to keep projects on track and lines of communication open, aided primarily by the use of our project management tool (Teamwork).

They interface with the CRM Analyst and the Associate Director of Enrollment Communications to build reports and dashboards used to track the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives. Using the data available, they create monthly reports to be shared with university leadership showcasing the success of email communication flows and other initiatives.

The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for maintaining online degree playbooks and other various databases and repositories of university communication information and assets. They work independently to collect content to be featured across the university web pages and works with the web department to ensure content is updated regularly and ensure information on third-party websites is robust and accurate.

Throughout the recruitment cycle, the Marketing Communications Coordinator will assist other members of the team as needed and on a variety of projects, initiatives and campaigns. Marketing Communications Coordinator should have a strong marketing and project management background, expertise with Microsoft Applications and a familiarity with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is required.
  • Strong project management skills, a keen attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and internet end-user applications. Familiar with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience in a range of marketing mediums/platforms, including print, email, digital and social media.
  • Ability to make sound editorial decisions and judgment calls based on prospective student recruitment lifecycle as well as university policies and goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with administration, staff, students, and alumni.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and to be innovative and not limited by existing methods and procedures.
  • Independent worker and self-starter who can successfully perform in a collaborative team environment.
  • Highly organized, deadline-oriented and a skilled communicator.
  • Must possess a professional attitude and positive spirit and provide excellent customer service to co-workers, staff and other constituents.
  • Strong grasp and understanding of principles of writing and report preparation, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Self-motivated but able to seek guidance and direction as necessary.
