Temporary, Part-time Communication & Theatre Instructors (unsolicited)

Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Communication and Theatre at times needs temporary, part-time instructors to fill in for faculty on sabbaticals or leaves. In the past, typical assignments for temporary, part-time instructors have included introductory communication and theatre courses such as Fundamentals of Speech. Some teaching of advanced courses commensurate with qualifications is possible.

In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Communication or Communication related-field. Evidence of ability to successfully teach students of diverse populations. Successful interview, teaching demonstration and three Successful background checks: Act 34 (Criminal Record Check); Act 114 ( FBI Federal Criminal History-Fingerprinting); and Act 151 (Child Abuse History Clearance).
