Temporary Part-Time Art & Design Foundations Instructor

Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Art & Design is accepting applications for temporary part-time Instructors for courses in foundation courses, including:

• Drawing 1
• Figure Drawing
• 2D Design
• 3D Design

A complete application will include:

• Cover letter describing qualifications for the position.
• Current curriculum vitae or professional resume.
• Copies of registrar-issued transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress.
• Two letters of professional reference dated within the last 12 months.

Required Qualifications

• MFA or MA in 2D or 3D area.
• Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
• Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Successful interview.
• Successful teaching demonstration.
• Successful completion of three background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• MFA in 2D or 3D area.
• Prior college-level teaching experience beyond a Teaching Assistantship.
