Job Description

The UMKC School of Pharmacy Senior Office Support Assistant position requires an individual who enjoys working with students and faculty from various backgrounds.

This position interacts with prospective and current pharmacy students and faculty daily, providing support and being a resource for their curricular and co-curricular needs.¿ In addition, the Pharmacy Student Affairs Office develops programmatic events (e.g., admissions interviews, orientation, dedication ceremony, commencement, etc.) for students, whereby the Office Support Assistant is key in working with the director and recruiting staff to prepare for the successful launch of these events and activities.¿ This position also plays a key role in supporting the administrative needs of the UMKC Pharmacy Foundation, which provides substantial financial support to students and graduates, furthering their education. Qualified individuals must possess excellent judgment, attention to detail, and organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs,¿especially Excel is preferred.¿Ability to use Access is a plus.¿

  • Previous experience working with campus data systems (e.g.,¿Peoplesoft, Slate, Canvas) is preferred. Training will be provided.

Full Time/Part Time

Full-time (40 hours per week), benefit-eligible staff position.

Salary

Up to $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
