Sequoias Community College District is seeking an equity-minded candidate to fill a one-year temporary full-time Pharmacy Technician faculty position in the Allied Health Department beginning August 2023.

Job Duties
Under the direction of the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health, the faculty member will be responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating, and monitoring activities on behalf of the academic program and in coordination with clinical sites. The basic teaching assignment will be in Pharmacy Technician courses.
Assignments may include evening classes and teaching at any of the Sequoias Community College District campuses: Visalia, Hanford and/or Tulare. Participation in the governance of the Sequoias Community College District by way of committee assignments is encouraged.
Other responsibilities include maintenance of office hours, participation in department and/or division responsibilities, and the willingness to create and participate in and sustain an atmosphere of equity, which is respectful of diversity Districtwide.
Qualifications
The candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Any bachelor's degree and two years of professional
experience.
OR - Any associate degree and six years of professional
experience.
OR - Any associate degree, and an accredited Pharmacy Technician
Certification (CPhT), and four years of professional
experience.
OR - The Equivalent
AND - Demonstrated sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse
academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity,
sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college
students, which pursuant to Title 5 §53022, is a core system
competency and job requirement.
