Postdoctoral Research Associate
About the Opportunity
The position will involve designing and implementing human subjects research studies, recruiting participants for behavioral, neuroimaging (fMRI), and physiological (cardiac, electrodermal, respiratory) data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and research dissemination (manuscript submissions, conference presentations). The position may also include serving as team lead for other research personnel to fulfill research goals including undergraduate research assistants and graduate students. The RA may also be involved in data quality checks, data preprocessing and analysis, and supporting manuscript preparation for research findings. Additional duties may include contributing to lab maintenance (website, coordinating lab meetings, contributing to an inclusive and respectful lab culture). Estimated percent time on each responsibility: 25% participant recruitment and team management; 30% programming, data processing, and analysis; 30% manuscript preparation and research dissemination; and 15% on miscellaneous tasks (preparing research for conferences, contributing to lab maintenance, etc.).
Qualifications:
A PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related discipline that has been completed and awarded prior to the start date (candidates with 1 or more years of previous postdoc experience in functional neuroimaging will be given priority). Previous experience in programming and data analysis for behavioral, functional neuroimaging, and/or peripheral autonomic data. Evidence of skills in research dissemination (e.g. conference presentations, archival or peer-reviewed manuscripts).
