Position Purpose
The Medical Assistant (MA) utilizes excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude to assist providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care, helping to ensure the efficient flow of patients through our college health care setting in a culturally sensitive manner.
Education & Formal Training
High school diploma or equivalent
Other Education & Formal Training
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
OR
At least one (1) year of medical assisting in an ambulatory/outpatient setting
OR
Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant
Computer Skills
Other - Experience with electronic medical records system.
Experience
One (1) year Medical Assistant experienced required. Experience can be gained concurrently through certification process.
Other Experience
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position:
Criminal History check

Certification in Basic Life Support ( BLS ) required.
