Job Description:

The Enterprise Applications Interface Developer provides lead technical development and support for academic and healthcare applications interfaces. The Enterprise Applications Interface Developer will guide the development of standardized data specifications that will integrated into UT data repository. The Enterprise Applications Interface Developer will manage, design, document, and evaluate a variety of applications interfaces and database management; perform complex technical, analytical and professional services involving application programs and interface evaluation. The Enterprise Applications Interface Developer will also implement and support standardized applications message interfaces among academic and healthcare information applications and UT centralized data repository. The Enterprise Applications Interface Developer will support, perform feasibility, analyze, and perform cost/benefit studies regarding academic and healthcare interface systems; perform data mapping and data translations; ensures system integrity, compatibility, and standardization; and coordinate and maintain applications interfaces security as required by appropriate regulatory bodies such as: FERPA, HIPAA, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology or a related field. Associates degree with current applicable EPIC Certifications and experience may meet this requirement.
 1-3 years of experience working with ETL tools.
 1-3 years of experience with the use of XML, JAVA, HTML, C/C++, C#, .NET programming, JavaScript, SQL
 1-3 years of experience working with relational databases, Transact-SQL, and SQL Stored Procedures or any other database.
 Experience working in a health information technology or academic environment
 Knowledge of all data formats used in healthcare integration messaging (HL7, EDI, CSV, XML, etc.) and/or other healthcare interface standards.
 Knowledge of and practical experience using Epic Bridges, Mirth, Cloverleaf, JCAPS, Rhapsody, OpenLink, BizTalk and/or other Interface Engines.
 Healthcare experience not required, but highly preferred.
