Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor, Psychology

We seek well-qualified candidates for a 1-year full-time visiting teaching assistant professor (VTAP) position in the department of psychology at the University of Denver. This position involves teaching eight courses distributed among fall, winter, and spring quarters. In addition, the VTAP will hold office hours and regularly communicate with students and prepare for courses. Specifically, this position will be expected to teach a graduate level course in correlation and regression, as well undergraduate courses in statistics, introduction to psychology, and lifespan development. Successful applicants must hold a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field (or be A.B.D in an appropriate Ph.D. program, have experience teaching psychology courses with available teaching evaluations, the ability to communicate effectively with undergraduates, teach using universal design and inclusive teaching principles, and the ability to use computer assisted course management and presentation methods.

The compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $54,000. The University of Denver offers excellent benefits, highlighted here. The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, internal salary equity, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
