Salary for Announcement

The minimum of the pay range for this position is $49,900. We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $49,900 - $55,000 . The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Admissions CRM Coordinator at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) operates as a member of the admissions systems team, assisting with daily operations and providing support for various areas in Slate, the Admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The role will be responsible for helping support, monitor, test and maintain data and functionality in Slate. This position will work with staff and faculty across the University whose areas utilize Slate as part of their admissions processes.

Time management, meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work as a motivated self-starter are critical for success in this position. This role is part of a team that takes a hands-on approach to troubleshooting functional, process, and application-related system issues and manage these through to resolution.

Duties / Responsibilities

50% - Constituent Management and Support
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the Office of Admissions and University departments utilizing Slate, serving as first-level support for all CRM related inquiries, collecting necessary details and triaging the requests, providing first level diagnostics.
  • Act as escalation point to communicate urgent and/or complex CRM issues to Slate team and manages user expectations.
  • Create and deliver end-user training/documentation and develop ongoing assessment to ensure consistent use of system tools. Provide functional and technical support to CRM users with varying levels of technical skills.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement, and communicate any system changes, upgrades, issues, or clarifications to end users.
30% - CRM Database Maintenance
  • Support the admissions’ enrollment goals by ensuring prospective student data imports accurately and is uploaded on a timely basis.
  • Assists staff by creating queries, mailing recipient lists, and forms in Slate as needed.
  • Test new functionality as it is developed by systems team
15 % - Data Quality Assurance
  • Serve as a primary lead for duplicate record consolidation in Slate
  • Responsible for import of ongoing and ad hoc prospective student data file uploads
  • Assist with exception reports to reconcile exported data from SIS and CRM systems
5% - Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Previous experience in higher education with emphasis on recruitment, admissions and/or enrollment management.
  • Previous CRM or related system experience (Technolutions Slate preferred).
  • Previous Student Information Systems experience.
  • Must be process-driven with willingness and ability to learn new systems
  • Detailed oriented and experience working both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose a problem and implement a solution.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of CRM experience related to configuring, testing, documenting and supporting a CRM.
  • Experience with analysis and refinement of information system business processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of Common App SDS, Parchment and related document services.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing requests, while keeping lines of communication open with impacted stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate sophisticated processes into constituent steps for end users.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Two years of experience in higher education with emphasis on recruitment, admissions and/or enrollment management.
  • Two years of Student Information Systems experience.
