Job Description Summary
Analytics at Wharton (AAW) unites The Wharton School's trail-blazing teaching, research, and industry engagement initiatives that use data to improve decision-making and generate actionable insights. AAW brings together seven programs at the School - AI and Analytics for Business, Computational Social Science for Business, Penn Wharton Budget Model, People Analytics, Wharton Neuroscience, Wharton Research Data Services, and Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative and supports new ideas and opportunities to expand the impact of big data analytics on research, curriculum, and industry and alumni engagement.

This position reports to the Executive Director of Corporate and Donor Engagement for Analytics at Wharton.

Job Description

In partnership with Analytics at Wharton leadership, the Senior Associate Director of Corporate and Donor Engagement provides organizational and project management for all industry and donor engagement initiatives for Analytics at Wharton. The Senior Associate Director will:

  • Work with the Vice Dean of Analytics and the Executive Director of Corporate and Donor Engagement to manage Analytics at Wharton's Corporate Partnership program. This includes overseeing the development and sourcing of prospects for the program to build a robust pipeline and partnering with AAW Center Directors to identify prospects and develop engagement, stewardship, and retention plans.
  • Onboard all AAW corporate partners and support the relationship between the corporate partner and the research center. This position serves as the day-to-day contact for corporate partners and connects corporate partners to various departments across Wharton and Penn.
  • Oversee the implementation of corporate and donor engagement meetings and events. Lead the logistics and planning of all meetings and events including developing budgets, content and agendas, managing speakers, and working with the AAW marketing and communications team on all event marketing. Help to source industry speakers for AAW events.
  • Support the Executive Director in managing the Analytics at Wharton Advisory Board, including serving as the primary point of contact for all board members and leading the logistical planning of bi-annual board meetings.
  • Manage all corporate partner marketing collateral and donor stewardship reports and support the development of proposals for prospective donors in partnership with Wharton External Affairs and the AAW leadership team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with legal departments at Penn and facilitate workflow of legal agreements.
  • Develop and maintain CRM system that manages information, monitors activity and produces reports. Responsible for training all staff to use Salesforce and creating dashboards and relevant reports for corporate partner and donor engagement.
  • Work with AAW staff on corporate partner branding, marketing materials, and website updates for content related to corporate partners and donors.


Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree is required with 5-7 or more years of related experience.

The candidate must demonstrate an ability to be an ambassador for Analytics at Wharton by managing high-level relationships with donors, faculty, university staff, and industry professionals. Demonstrated project management, experience planning meetings and events, a willingness to collaborate and excel within complex organizations, and the ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion is required. Experience engaging with individual and corporate donors is required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
