REPORTS TO: Director of Admissions and Recruitment

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plans, develops, and delivers Middlesex College presentations to large and small groups of high school students, community groups, and local businesses, and provides detail information about the Community College Opportunity Grant.
  2. Maintains a steady flow of communication via e-mail, traditional mail, social media, phone calls, and text messages with prospective students and applied students in order to establish a relationship between the students and Middlesex College.
  3. Provides in-person and electronic academic advising assistance during the on boarding process for new students.
  4. Meets or exceeds weekly, quarterly, and yearly activity and recruitment and enrollment goals within an assigned territory.
  5. Initiates, plans, and executes special projects in conjunction with the goals and objectives of the department.
  6. Maintains current knowledge of Middlesex College's academic, social, extra-curricular, and financial aid programs as well as the College’s enrollment process, and communicates this information to prospective students.
  7. Completes routine reports related to recruitment, projections, conversions, travel, and special programs.
  8. Maintains up-to-date records on inquiries and applicants via the admissions Customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
  9. Attends Admissions team staff meetings and prepares to report on management tasks that were previously assigned.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Recruitment experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the area
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to meet flexible work schedule requirements that include evenings and weekend hours
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and CRM platforms
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

The successful applicant will be cross trained in enrollment processes for other student populations and cover appointments as needed.



SCHEDULE: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week.

Ability to meet flexible work schedule requirements that include days, evenings, and weekend hours in accordance with scheduled recruitment activities.

This is a specially funded position, dependent for its existence upon federal, State, or other non-College operating funds, and is not funded pursuant to the regular College budget. Continued employment is always contingent upon satisfactory performance and College needs. Grant funded positions are also contingent upon continued funding. This appointment is for the specified period only. Employment beyond the expiration date of the grant is subject to appropriate provisions of existing collectively bargained agreements in effect at the time for employees covered by those agreements.
