The expected salary for this position starts at a rate of $68,000 annually Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications. Job Summary:

The Admissions & Recruitment Director provides vision and leadership to the School of Nursing's undergraduate and graduate admissions and student recruitment operation. This includes overall supervision of the admissions and recruitment processes for the Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN), the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and the PhD degree programs, as well as a post-master's certificate program in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. The Director oversees the admissions process from point-of-inquiry through enrollment, utilizing advanced and innovative recruitment and yield techniques and admissions processing technologies. This role directly supervises the Admissions and Recruitment team, comprised of four professional staff members. The Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and is an integral member of the Office of Academic Affairs, a unit that is deeply passionate about supporting student success and strives to create a diverse and inclusive community where students, staff, and faculty from all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities can thrive.

Responsibilities: Directs strategy and execution of programs and procedures involved in the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of students seeking entrance to the assigned unit in support of achieving institutional, enrollment-related strategic goals.
  • 30% Directs unit admissions strategic planning initiatives and establishes recruitment and enrollment goals
  • 25% Develops unit admissions operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives
  • 5% Develops the unit admissions budget
  • 10% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • 5% Serves as the school or college liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing admission information and representing the admissions interests of the school or college
  • 5% Advises school or college leadership on unit enrollment planning and management
  • 5% Serves as liaison to central university admission unit to align academic program admission with university enrollment efforts
  • 15% Leads and develops strategy for the development, implementation, and maintenance of scholarships to ensure appropriate use of resources to align with and accomplish recruitment and retention goals and meet donor intent

Specialization in college student personnel, higher education, educational leadership, or a related field preferred.

* At least three years of professional experience in college admissions and recruitment, academic affairs, student services, academic program management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to work independently and in a team setting to establish and maintain effective working relationships
