Position Summary:
The Director establishes overall standards of performance, budgetary controls, and the direction of programs and services. This includes operational and programmatic functions of Reeve Memorial Union and University Dining, leadership for approximately 15 full-time staff and over 120 student employees. Responsibilities include financial management, human resource management, and leadership of staff. A team of dedicated staff provide day to day support for: facility management and operations, retail and business operations, promotion and marketing, and student involvement programming.
The Director serves as the primary contact for all contracted services including but not limited to dining, financial institution tenant, vending, pouring rights, other campus departments, and the community. The Director advises the union’s governing board, the Reeve Advisory Council (RAC), and works closely with the Oshkosh Student Association (OSA).

Additional Responsibilities:
Attend divisional meetings as requested. Coordinate meetings with Reeve/Dining and Leadership Staff. Keep current on trends and developments in the field of student affairs in order to enhance the Reeve Union and University Dining’s programs, services, operations and functions. Participate in various professional development organizations related to college unions and student affairs. Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Campus Life.
Qualifications
Required:
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of supervisory, administration, and leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead a team of dynamic professionals toward a common vision aligning with the UWO strategic plan and objectives
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, oral communication, and oral presentations
- Demonstrated capacity for collaboration to create a team-oriented environment with faculty, staff, and students
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in higher ed administration, student affairs or related field
- 7 years of supervisory, administration, and leadership experience in a higher ed setting
- Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competence, and achievement in working with diverse student populations
- Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and managing multi-faceted service/vendor contracts
- Knowledge of enterprise, point of sale, and retail systems
