Reporting directly to the Vice President of University Advancement,
the Director of Constituent Engagement will oversee a team of
skilled professionals and provide the vision and direction needed
to meet and exceed University goals and metrics. Areas of
responsibility include constituent engagement (including 40,000
Gannon and Villa Maria College alumni, parents, friends, volunteers
current and retired faculty/staff), leadership support for the
Gannon University Alumni Association Alumni Board, stewardship,
marketing of planned giving program, and scholarship
management.
The Director will provide a continued assessment of existing programs and establish structures to support and sustain these programs. This role will provide direct reports with timely feedback, instill knowledge of best practices and provide mentorship and professional development opportunities. In addition, the Director will provide direction to all team members to develop and implement a comprehensive annual strategy that promotes and unifies constituent engagement and stewardship efforts.

Essential Functions:
- Establish individual and team metrics for all areas of responsibility that align with unit, departmental, and University goals. Regularly report on goal progress and address areas for improvement.
- Provide leadership support for the National Alumni Board
- Develop relationships with internal departments and colleagues, Alumni Board, and external constituents to establish engagement opportunities that promote meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, students, parents, friends, employees, and volunteers
- Lead efforts to develop relationships with campus partners that promote collaboration to meet the fundraising needs of departments and programs
- Direct and provide a vision for the planning and implementation of key constituent events including annual Homecoming and Family Weekend, Scholarship Dinner, Athletic Hall of Fame, Universitas and Old Main Society events, and many local and regional engagement events.
- Oversee and direct constituent communications including alumni newsletters, alumni website, social media for the Gannon University Alumni Association, and planned giving marketing.
- Support and promote the University Mission in the work and in relationships with peers and teams throughout the university with a focus on transforming the Gannon experience for students and constituents.
