The Prescott campus is a small residential campus in the mountains of northern Arizona. Prescott is one of the highest-rated residential areas in the Southwest. It is located at over 5,000 feet elevation, has a mild climate, clean air, and is close to outdoor recreation, pristine wilderness areas and national forests.

The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott, College of Aviation, invites applications for non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professors in support of our B.S. degree in Aeronautical Science.

Aeronautical Science teaching assignments may include, but not be limited to, jet transport systems, turbine engine operations, electronic flight management systems, flight technique analysis, airline operations, domestic & international navigation and FAA ground courses The selected candidate should have a Master’s Degree, preferably in an aviation-related field. A Ph.D./doctoral degree is highly desirable. The candidate should have experience in Part 121/135 airline, corporate flight operations or appropriate military experience. The candidate will also have demonstrated ability to teach, preferably in collegiate or Part 121/141 training programs, and have demonstrated potential for scholarly activity.

Normal teaching load corresponds to four 3-credit hour courses per semester. This position will also include working with and advising students as they explore different options with internships, research, and coursework as well as career paths. Scholarly activities and service responsibilities are expected.

This is a nine-month position, renewed annually, with the possibility of summer teaching for additional pay.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have a Master’s Degree, earned doctorate preferred, with applicability to the aviation related fields of study, experience in higher education, industry, or governmental educational setting
