Job Summary
Responsible for providing content expertise in Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging, contributing to scholarly advancement of the science and incorporating this discipline in the curriculum. Will assume various teaching roles, when required, to meet curricular demands and as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Will provide support in the training of students in all levels of the DVM curriculum. Will serve as a college wide resource in Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging, as well as serve on the college and university standing committees. Position reports to the Dean. Academic activities are supervised by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Research activities are supervised by the Associate Dean for Research. Clinical activities are supervised by the Associate Dean for Clinical Services. Professional activities are supervised by the Executive Associate Dean.

1. Ability to orally communicate with others. Ability to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, students and outside contacts.

3. Organizational skills necessary in prioritizing workload and delegating responsibility.
4. Knowledge of educational needs for contemporary veterinary practice.
5. Knowledge and skills in his/her discipline.

Required Qualifications
EDUCATION: An earned Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and board certification in Veterinary Radiology, or equivalent degree and advanced training.
EXPERIENCE: Candidates with three or more years of experience preferred. However, the college is seeking an optimal match between individual qualifications and assessed ability to contribute to the College's mission. All qualified candidates will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to individuals with certification in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or the American College of Theriogenologists.

Duties of the Faculty Member are normally performed in a typical office setting, classroom setting, or laboratory setting. Depending on individual professional specialty, curriculum duties may require different environmental settings which may include, but is not limited to classrooms, farms, clinical practices, research and academic laboratories, and other off campus settings. Occasionally the employee is exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in these settings are usually moderate due to telephone calls, office equipment, normal student traffic, and depending on species - animal noises. Some travel is required, and work environment characteristics will change to that of the regional norms. Virtual delivery of the curriculum might be considered based on the characteristics of the needs of the curriculum for this discipline.
