- CORE1000W “The Reflective Woman” (TRW) is required for all first-year students in the College for Women and the College for Adults.TRWuses a shared set of readings and writing assignments to foster critical thinking, reflection, communication, and other foundational academic skills.
- CORE3990W “Global Search for Justice” (GSJ) builds onTRWby inviting students to examine an issue, selected by the instructor, through a social justice lens, culminating in a substantial written project.
- Teach one or two classes on a semester basis in in-person or online environments.
- Develop and demonstrate learner-centered strategies aligned with the University’s commitment toInclusive Excellence.
- Provide timely and frequent feedback to students on their progress toward student learning outcomes.
- Refer students to support services as appropriate.
- Establish office hours to accommodate student needs.
- Attend faculty development workshops.

- Master’s degree or enrollment in a doctoral program with master’s level equivalency.
- Ability to teach in a traditional classroom setting or in an online setting.
- Doctoral level or terminal degree.
- Experience leading discussion-based courses with a significant amount of writing.
- Experience teaching and mentoring students of all different backgrounds and cultures
