Recruitment & Engagement Manager

About the Opportunity

Currently, under the supervision and guidance of the Associate Director, Recruitment & Engagement, the Recruitment & Engagement Manager is ultimately responsible for generating and engaging qualified leads through external-facing recruitment efforts that support each of the Roux Institute's primary functions, including enrollment, partnerships, entrepreneurship, research, and hiring.

This role is responsible for strategically sourcing and executing recruitment and engagement events in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve department-wide goals. Working across multiple teams, with a primary focus on Enrollment and Entrepreneurship, to generate leads from Undergraduate Academic Institutions, this function will guide internal stakeholders to identify in-person (and virtual, in some cases) recruitment and engagement opportunities that support their department's business needs. This role requires a high level of relationship management with career and graduate counselors/advisors across Undergraduate Academic Institutions. The person must prepare for and proactively attend various in-state and out-of-state academic graduate fairs, career fairs, college visits, and execute events and tours that solicit leads directly from the Roux Institute campus. The role is responsible for the identification, execution, and follow-through for each of the identified opportunities.

From a conversion perspective, the Recruitment & Engagement Manager will be successful if leads generated through recruitment efforts convert in a way that drives business goals - such as finding prospective students who ultimately enroll in Roux Institute graduate programs or forming relationships with Undergraduate Career and Graduate Counselors/Advisors that create opportunities for recent graduate students to ultimately become new Roux students. With success tied to conversion, this person must have a high level of relationship management to drive “lead generation” to “conversion”.

A successful candidate will be well-rounded with experience in events and with relationship management. This person must be a cross-departmental team player who excels at supporting various functions at once with excellent communication and a consultative mindset. The person must demonstrate ability in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Salesforce, have a strong work ethic and the ability to successfully work independently with strong prioritization and time management skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor's Degree is required. Two to five years of events, relationship management, recruiting, sales, and/or equivalent experience is required.

The ideal candidate is energetic and well-rounded with the ability to be dynamic and comfortable in all situations. This role must have a firm handle on lead generation, follow-through, and relationship management.

This position will require a flexible work schedule, including attending events that may occur on nights and weekends, and travel by this team will be expected. Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, keen sensitivity and being responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies and managing goals is required.
