JOB SUMMARY

The DMAS group at Northeastern University (https://dmas.sites.northeastern.edu/) is looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to join us. The research focus will be on polymer synthesis and materials development with a sustainability vision. The candidate should have a background in polymer chemistry, organic synthesis, and/or materials characterization. The initial appointment is for one year, with the potential for extension depending on regular progress evaluation and continuation of funding.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Initiate, execute, and complete research ideas.

2. Prepare research papers, presentations, grant proposals, etc.

3. Mentor younger researchers.

4. Laboratory management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, attention to details, as well as training in research methodology and quantitative data analysis are essential to the successful candidate. Experience in writing proposals and project management experience are pluses. Ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple researchers from different fields. A Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering or in a closely related field; be able to undertake substantially full-time research or scholarship; work under the supervision of a senior scholar.
