Responsibilities:
This is for an part-time/adjunct pool that will be used to hire part-time/adjunct Instructions when needed.

The successful applicant(s) may be asked to teach a wide variety of courses in Dance, including latin social (salsa, bachata, etc.) ballet folklorico, ballroom, hip hop, african, among others. This assignment may include teaching day or evening classes, weekend classes, concert choreography, distance learning and using multiple teaching methodologies.

Other duties include participation in student recruitment, maintaining subject matter currency; ability to effectively work with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, academic, and vocational goals, developing and revising curriculum; holding office hours, using computer and multimedia technology; collegial participation in departmental, ability to assess student learning outcomes, college and discipline-specific professional activities.

Minimum Qualifications: (Faculty and Academic Administrator Positions Only)
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of professional experienceORAn associate’s degree and six (6) years of professional experienceORA valid California Community College Credential in Dance, Cultural Dance, or Folk DancingOR The equivalent Note: Professional experience is required when the applicant possess a Master’s Degree. The Professional Experience is required when the applicant possess a Master’s Degree. The Professional Experience required must be directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment. The above stated number of years is for Full-Time experience or the equivalent in Part-Time Experience.

Salary
$75.33 to $92.64 per lecture hour, $62.52 to $76.89 per lab hourFinalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree conferred.

As soon as the successful candidate is identified and following the subsequent governing board approval.
