Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications: (Faculty and Academic Administrator
State Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics OR Bachelor’s in
physics or astronomy AND Master’s in engineering, mathematics,
meteorology, or geophysics OR the equivalent.
Local Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in Astronomy or Astrophysics OR Bachelor’s in Astronomy
AND Master’s in Physics OR Bachelor’s in Astronomy AND Master’s in
Physics OR The Equivalent.
$66.77 to $73.23 per lecture hour AND $53.43 to $58.60 per lab hour
Finalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelor’s
degree with a master’s degree conferred.
As soon as the successful candidate is identified and following the
subsequent governing board approval.
Successful candidate may be assigned to any of the campus sites
(Chula Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, and/or San Ysidro).

Candidates selected for employment with Southwestern Community
