Job Description:
The Office of Financial Aid at Champlain College has an opening for a Coordinator. On-the-job training presents a great opportunity to start a new career path. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service to students and their families seeking information and/or assistance on all aspects of financial aid. Using your keen eye for detail you will provide quality assurance for incoming documents as well as manage the processing of all outgoing communications from the Office.  This position will partner with the Program Manager for Veteran and Military Services to support that specific student population.

The Coordinator will learn and maintain an understanding of federal and state financial aid programs, as well and the Office of Financial Aid and the College's policies and procedures. You will work closely with the rest of the team to implement and evaluate office policy and procedures to ensure they support the goals and objectives of the office and the College.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

  • Provides professional customer service
  • Advises students, parents, and others regarding financial aid processes and policies.
  • Support to the Veteran and Military Services Office as an appointed School Certifying Official.
  • Process and review all incoming and outgoing communications for the office. 
  • Maintain office supplies.
  • Manage federal reports and the Exit Counseling process
    • Responsible for running reports to identify withdrawn students.
    • Run the Award Verification Eligibility report in Colleague.
    • Monitor ImageNow queues.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations and financial aid operations best practices.

Additional Information:
The successful completion of a criminal background & credit check is required as a condition of employment.
