(Job #526983) Administrator II, Director of The Individualized Learning Program, Salary Range: $4,582 - $14,713 monthly. Hiring Range: $7,500 - $8,750 monthly. Appointments are typically made at the beginning of the salary range. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, benefited, exempt, 12-month pay plan permanent position in Department of General Studies. This position is an Administrator II in the California State University Management Personnel Plan (MPP). Under this plan, incumbents are subject to normal management reviews and serve at the pleasure of the University President. Position Summary:

This position will lead and coordinate efforts for the individualized degree plan to serve students excellence in creating unique pathways toward graduation and a place where new degree options might develop. The position will include curriculum development, curriculum implementation, advising, program promotion, and working with students, faculty and staff to design a flexible pathway of courses that will allow a broad group of students to graduate while being creative. Knowledge of robust online learning, curriculum policies, title V and curriculum workflow. This position will support student success in academic programs.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and administer an Individualized Degree program (IDP).
  • Recruit students; advise students in the program
  • Oversee and teach in the program.
  • Keep an up-to-date pool of adjunct faculty and work to implement interest in TT faculty teaching in the program. Develop the IDP profile on campus by encouraging wider faculty departmental participation,
  • Ensuring that curriculum articulates with university general education requirements, and establishing programmatic assessment procedures. Work with the registrar's office to ensure degrees and transcripts articulate
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Associated with this Position Include:

This position is interdisciplinary at Cal Poly Humboldt, which is collaborative and creative. The incumbent must possess a demonstrated record of successful teaching in service to a diverse student population and demonstrated experience with academic planning, program development, scheduling, and assessment. A record of successful leadership and management in a shared governance environment is required. The successful applicant must demonstrate a strong commitment to creating an equity-focused, inclusive, student-centered culture and curriculum. Competencies include; dependability, organization, follow-through, and the ability to work in a team with collaborations across multiple areas.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a Ph.D., multiple years of teaching experience, service in a university setting or community setting, and a broad knowledge of curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PHD in an academic program and at least 5 years of teaching experience
  • Curriculum development experience
  • leadership experience.
