The Office of Admissions at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications to fill a full time Admissions Counselor.

Compensation: Minimum Salary $50,148, commensurate with experience plus full New York State benefits package.

Description of Responsibilities: 

  • Managing a specific recruitment territory of our prospect/applicant pool Representing the College at on- and off-campus and virtual recruitment events Serving as primary liaison for school counselors, agencies and educators in assigned markets Developing relationships with prospective students and families Coordinate applicant approval process for select admissions programs Conducting large group presentations and student interviews Reviewing and evaluating applications Managing multiple projects successfully as needed in a time sensitive environment Availability to work evenings and weekends Ability to travel for extended periods of time Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree at time of appointment A strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success Ability to use analytical thinking, creative problem solving skills, listening skills, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel for extended periods of time Valid driver's license Out of state travel might be required

  • Experience working in Admissions Experience working with Slate (CRM)
