Position Summary
The Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences ( CDS ), University at Buffalo, The State University of New York invites applications for a full-time, calendar-year, term position in Clinical Audiology. Appointment will be made at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor depending on candidate profile. Some areas of faculty interest may include but are not limited to amplification, vestibular audiology, cochlear implants, auditory processing disorder, telehealth, practice management, and clinical research. Focus may be pediatric and/or adult.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide graduate student clinical education and training in CDS’s Clinical Audiology Doctoral program (AuD). Faculty are expected to take part in all facets of AuD training including direct clinical supervision, off-site hearing screenings, graduate student research projects, off-site clinical placements, and clinic administration. Faculty will also be expected to teach graduate level coursework within their areas of expertise.
UB is a member of the AAU and has a strong tradition of research excellence in communication sciences and disorders that includes training of doctoral students. With support from the College of Arts and Sciences, the department is committed to build upon existing research, clinical and academic capacities to continue to provide leadership in the fields of speech-language sciences and disorders.

- Provide AuD student clinical training in the UB Audiology and Speech Language Pathology Clinic, hands-on labs and simulations.
- Take part in clinical training administrative tasks.
- Seek interprofessional and collaborative clinical relationships within and outside the University Community.
- Teach a 1-3 course load across the calendar year, balanced with clinic responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
- AuD and a minimum of three years full-time clinical experience.
- Candidates should have or be eligible for ASHA CCC credentials, a NYS Audiology License, and a NYS Hearing Dispensing License.
- Prior supervision and teaching experience at the University level preferred.
- Preferred candidates will be highly organized and self-motivated.
