Researches, reports, writes and produces multimedia spot and
features for Houston Public Media (HPM) on-air and digital
platforms. Serves as on-air program host, Individual position may
be specific to either tv or radio operations.
- Provides aesthetic and creative direction of the production
process for live and recorded public media programs.
- Conceives, researches, develops and executes ideas and concepts
into program content.
- Provides on-air hosting and verbal delivery consistent with
highest professional broadcast standards: National Public
- Operates station broadcast and production equipment in a
professional manner consistent with NPR standards.
- Advance the station�s public image at community outreach
- Participates in station fund-raising campaigns and special

Bachelors and 3 years experience
Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical
and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional
discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional
discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained
through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college
or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training
program that is directly related to the type of work being
