Now WEHI is looking for a Director to take it into this exciting new era. Succeeding Professor Doug Hilton, who will be stepping down after 15 years in the role, the new Director will report to the WEHI Board and oversee pioneering research across diverse areas, currently including cancer, immune health and infection, development and healthy ageing, new medicines and advanced technologies, and computational biology. A passionate, inspiring leader with an outstanding scientific record and complex organisational leadership experience in world-class research environments, the new Director will shape WEHI’s research vision and investment, deepen collaboration with partner institutions locally and internationally, advance the translation and commercialisation of WEHI research, continue the Institute’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, and engage extensively with community groups, government and industry.
