The Department of Political Science at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio invites applications for a one-year faculty position to begin fall 2023 at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to teach three courses per semester, both introductory level and upper-division courses. This is an open subfield position, but we have a preference for a candidate who can teach in more than one subfield. Ability to contribute to our curriculum in areas such as gender, LGBTQ politics, and/or race would be an asset.
Ohio University serves over 20,000 students on a residential campus located in the beautiful Appalachian hills of southeastern Ohio. Columbus, the largest city in Ohio, is 75 minutes away. The Department of Political Science includes 16 faculty members, over 350 majors, and about 15 MA students.
