About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
The Disability Resource Center is dedicated to partnering with the diverse population of students, staff, and faculty who we serve at Northeastern and in the surrounding community. We strive to provide exemplary service, education, and resources in the work that we do.
The DRC is seeking a front desk assistant to assist in managing testing, front desk operations, and to provide additional support for student workers. This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension into a full-time role.
We are seeking coverage Monday through Thursday 11am - 7pm. This is an on-campus position at our Boston, MA campus. Applicants are highly encouraged to submit a cover letter along with their resume.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Support for student workers regarding questions and concerns
students, faculty, staff and prospective students may have both in
person and by phone
- Aid in managing technology issues for students testing. This
may include calling or emailing professors student exam
questions
- Assist in scanning and emailing exams back to professors at end
of each day
- Email professors regarding exams happening the next
day
- Set up lounge for testing at end of day (if not already set
up)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years working in office setting
- 1-2 years customer service experience
- Strong professional communication abilities
- Advanced organizational skills
Note: Current Northeastern students will not be considered for this role.
