Position Purpose

To provide all aspects of direct patron service at Baker Berry circulation and information desks and assist with a variety of Access Services tasks including re-shelving, stacks projects, shipping and receiving and interlibrary loan. Provide basic reference services in-person, via phone or online.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp

Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Two to three years relevant library experience preferred and/or customer service experience with a diverse clientele.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs. regularly during the workday.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work efficiently; set and modify work priorities; while under pressure and despite interruptions.
• Ability to work collegially in a team environment.
