The labs taught this year included action potential measurements in earthworms, cockroach mechanoreception, frog action potentials and synaptic delay and concluded with several weeks exploring crayfish neuronal and muscle electrophysiology including recordings and data analysis. The lab is well equipped with AD Instruments PowerLab Data Acquisition Systems, General Oscilloscopes (Tektronix or equivalent) to view voltage-time varying signals, and LabChart Software (mostly for recording data). Details for each lab exercise are available with variations welcome depending on the interests of the successful candidate.
