JOB SUMMARY:
Provides pre-award support for faculty and staff as assigned by the OSP Support Center Manager. Focuses on funding identification, management of grant application preparation to include budget development, non-technical writing, and electronic proposal submission systems. Performs other duties as assigned. Current Assignment: College of Science
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Proposal Development:
Manages the assembly and submission of grant application packages according to sponsor guidelines, federal regulations, and University policy.
30% - Essential - Budget Management:
Formulates grant budgets at the submission stage and required budget revisions prior to award acceptance.
10% - Essential - Editorial/Technical:
Edits and proofreads grant applications. Advises faculty and administrators on technical issues related to using the Infoed electronic proposal development submission system.
5% - Essential - Reporting:
Compiles research reports for department, Associate Dean for Research, and other administrators.
5% - Essential - Funding Identification:
Analyzes appropriate sources of support for research/scholarship using a variety of databases and advises faculty on actionable timelines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree
Work Exp 1+ years in business, personnel, grant-in-aid, or public administration
Licenses & Certifications - Certified Research Administrator (CRA)

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
