The Opportunity:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for an experienced Student Employment Coordinator to work in the Student Employment Office and provide top notch customer service to hiring managers and students who are seeking on campus jobs. Under the oversight of the Director of Student Employment, this position will work in partnership with our student body and university departments to provide opportunities for employment. This is a full time, exempt role with benefits.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong customer service background, attention to detail, and be proficient in all Microsoft programs. Responsibilities include the following:

- Approves all hire requests, compensation changes, transfers, and terminations in Workday
- Works with the hiring manager to ensure funds are available for student positions
- Provide assistance to students and hiring supervisors with functions of Workday
- Create and conduct appropriate training sessions for hiring supervisors and newly hired students
- Ensure all new hire documents are in compliance with federal and state regulations: Collect, maintain and update EQUIFAX records of employment and prepare batch work for imaging
- Determine student eligibility in Federal Work-Study (FWS) based on financial need
- Track all FWS expenditures to ensure compliance with federal regulation
- Respond to telephone and email questions and inquiries from students and managers on departmental policies and procedures
Skill Set Needed:
- Proven track record of providing excellent customer service to
internal and external customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to foster open
communication and promote positive relationships
- Ability to maintain work priorities in and environment with
multiple concurrent tasks and projects while meeting deadlines with
minimal supervision
- Ability to be proactive and take initiative in day-to-day
activities and look for was to implement process improvements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and
Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information with
discretion
- Ability to work in an organized manner and consistently
follow-up on tasks
- At least three years of customer support experience; prior
experience working in higher education preferred
- Experience with Campus Solutions and Workday strongly
preferred
- Prior experience working in a role with heavy deadlines and
multiple moving parts
- Knowledge of federal hiring forms and immigration documents for
work authorizations is highly desirable
