Job Description
The Assistant Dietitian for Football will promote the philosophy and objectives of the University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, SEC, NCAA and other authorities that may legitimately influence the intercollegiate athletics program.
Working under the direction of the Director of Sports Performance Nutrition, this individual will primarily be responsible for assisting and monitoring all phases of performance nutrition for the University of Missouri football program.
Job duties will include:
Evaluating, interpretating and monitoring the nutritional needs of football student-athletes, as assigned by the Director of Sports Performance Nutrition, using pre-approved standards of care and best practice guidelines;
Assisting the Director of Football Performance Nutrition in day-to-day tasks such as planning, administration, and follow up of operational duties;
Conducting inventory and ordering food and supplies to meet the unique needs of the team;
Managing students through scheduling, training, and daily shift oversight;
Performing hydration testing; body composition testing and analysis; menu and banquet event order development; supplement oversight and recommendations.
This position will require strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with coaches, sports medicine staff, athletic performance staff, physicians, dining hall manager and chef(s), academic and other support staff involved with the success of football student-athletes.
Salary
Salary is commensurate with education and experience
Salary Range: $50,367 - $79,354
GGS Grade: 9E

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required, including during football season
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD), Master’s Degree in Nutrition or a related field
