The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Florida Southern College invites applications for
a visiting position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin in August 2023. A master’s or
terminal degree in computer science or a closely related field is required. This position is specifically for
candidates with expertise in cybersecurity. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong
commitment to teaching undergraduates and will be expected to teach courses at all levels of the
curriculum with a specific emphasis on courses in the cybersecurity concentration. The teaching load is 3
four-credit courses each semester.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s or terminal degree in computer science or a closely related field
- Experience in teaching undergraduate computer science courses
- Ability to teach effectively in cybersecurity courses
- Ability to create and foster an engaged-learning environment in the classroom
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advising undergraduate research projects
- Experience with Capture the Flag competitions
