The Law Center offers graduate level courses in Law in multiple specialty areas and occasionally has openings for part-time adjunct faculty. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply to be considered for these temporary, part-time positions.
Adjunct opportunities vary based on the type of course. Opportunities include: (i) traditional doctrinal courses taught in a lecture format; (ii) clinical education, which is a type of experiential learning course; (iii) simulation courses, which are a type of experiential learning course; and (iv) involvement with the Law Center's Blakely Advocacy Institute ( http://www.law.uh.edu/blakely ) ("BAI"), where the opportunities include a variety of skills-based courses.
This posting is for BAI for an adjunct instructor to lead, instruct, and organize students participating in competitions in various areas of advocacy competition. The students are grouped into "teams" each of which is dedicated to a competition area:

As a non-tenure track (NTT) position, the appointee will accrue no time toward tenure at the University of Houston. Further information about the Law Center and it's programs is available at: http://www.law.uh.edu .
Adjunct faculty appointments are made by the Law Center's Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Greg R. Vetter, gvetter@uh.edu.
