As part of the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Heart Failure program expansion, the Department of Medicine is actively recruiting a ful l-time faculty member to help continue to grow our extensive clinical programs in heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support, as well as to contribute to the scientific mission of the University. It is expected that the candidate, with mentorship, will develop a research portfolio with extramural funding. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. T he advanced heart failure section is nationally known with an excellent track record in cutting edge mechanical circulatory support, heart transplant and in advanced heart failure. The University of Maryland Division of Cardiovascular and Maryland Heart Center are home to some of the brightest minds in the world in medical and surgical management of heart failure. The heart failure program is nationally recognized with an extended patient referral base.

Qualifications :

This position requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license. The individual we seek will have fellowship training in advanced heart failure.
