Job Description

The School of Education at Syracuse University is looking for an individual who will teach IDE 552- Digital Media Production (3 credits).

Course Description: Use of new media tools to develop digital instructional media. Includes introduction and instruction on contemporary and emerging media development tools, including graphics, video editing, web design, and mobile technology.

The section assigned may be in-person or on-line at the discretion of the School. More than one section may be available.

  • MS in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or closely related field.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of and experience using relevant digital media technologies.
  • College teaching experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with use of technology in teaching.
  • Prior experience teaching IDE 552 or similar course preferred.
  • Develop/update the course syllabus in accordance with SOE standards.
  • Ordering in advance books and materials for students in the class to purchase on or before the first day of classes.
  • Preparing for classes.
  • Holding office hours each week for students in the class and others.
  • Grading in a timely manner student assignments and examinations for the course.
  • Completing CAEP competency assessment reports (if required).
  • Turning in mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University standards.
  • Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
  • Other responsibilities as indicated.
