Head Coach - Men's Soccer

The Head Coach is responsible for the overall organization, direction, supervision and administration of a successful NCAA Division III varsity program. Primary responsibilities for the full-time position of head coach include leading the program with the highest level of integrity, recruiting qualified student-athletes, coordinating non-conference game and practice schedules, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, coordinating budget and fundraising, team travel and supervision of assistant coaches.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Coaching to include: scheduling; practice; conditioning; scouting; budget management; fund raising; community service program, game day promotions and hire/supervise assistant coaches.
  • Recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success.
  • Communication: maintain appropriate communication with students, other coaches, NEWMAC, college staff, parents, alumni and the media.
  • Compliance with NCAA, NEWMAC and college rules, policies and regulations
  • Responsible for another administrative function which will be assigned by the Director of Athletics.


QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job:
  • 3-5 years of experience coaching college soccer
  • 3-5 years of experience recruiting for college soccer
  • Experience with FrontRush
  • Experience with Slate


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly associated with the job.
  • Requires the ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of NCAA DIII compliance

COMPENSATION

Starting salary for this position will be between $ 54,274 - $ 66,486 annually, commensurate with experience.

Grade of Position: 23-07E

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.25
