Job Summary

The Deak Immunoengineering Laboratory in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Drexel University is seeking a talented postdoc for a NIH funded project on Immunoengineering of HIV therapeutic vaccines beginning in December 2023.

This is an opportunity for candidates to gain experience in viral characterization and immunology, working closely with a biochemist and immunologist.

Essential Functions
  • Designing HIV targeted vaccines, requiring chemical synthesis, characterization, and evaluation.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD or Doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biochemistry or Immunology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with biochemical synthesis.
  • Prior research experience, especially with cell culture, nanomaterial synthesis, immunological assays or molecular biology.
Physical Demands
  • Typically sitting at a desk/table
  • Typically standing, walking
